Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using LearnRex (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including solo learners, school administrators, teachers, and students.
2. Who We Are
LearnRex is an AI-powered learning platform operated by LearnRex Ltd. We provide tools for lesson creation, homework generation, quiz practice, and progress tracking. The Service is designed for educational use by schools, language academies, and independent learners.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account and use the Service independently. Users under 16 may only access LearnRex through a school or institution account, where a responsible adult (teacher or school administrator) has agreed to these Terms on their behalf.
4. Free Trial
Solo learners may access a 3-day free trial upon registration. No payment information is required to start your trial. At the end of the trial period, access to the Service will be restricted until you subscribe to a paid plan. Trial access is non-transferable and limited to one trial per person.
5. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable laws or regulations; (b) upload or transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content; (c) attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts; (d) use the Service for commercial purposes other than those expressly permitted; or (e) interfere with the proper functioning of the Service.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of LearnRex — including but not limited to software, text, graphics, and AI-generated lesson materials — are owned by or licensed to LearnRex Ltd. Content you upload (lesson recordings, documents) remains yours; you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of delivering the Service.
8. AI-Generated Content
LearnRex uses artificial intelligence to generate quizzes, homework, flashcards, and lesson summaries. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. It is provided as a learning aid only and does not constitute professional educational, medical, or legal advice. Teachers and learners are responsible for reviewing AI outputs before acting on them.
9. Payments and Refunds
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. All prices are shown in GBP and inclusive of VAT where applicable. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. We do not offer refunds for partial months. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
10. Special Educational Needs (SEND)
LearnRex's SEND and Inclusion features, including the IEP Writer, are provided as administrative and educational aids. They are designed to assist qualified SEND professionals, not to replace professional assessment or statutory processes. Schools using these features remain responsible for compliance with the SEND Code of Practice 2015 and all relevant legislation.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Service in a way that harms others. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. We will retain data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, LearnRex Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
